Lynn's Story

Life My Spouse, John We met in the spring of 1974 in Astronomy class at Trenton State College. John has retired from his job as a field service engineer where he repaired and installed X-Ray machines for Philips Medical Systems. He is still my very best friend and my biggest fan and supporter. He helped me graduate with honors from Rider for my masters degree by quizzing me weekly on what I needed to know. Now, he's supporting me as I continue my education toward a doctoral degree in educational leadership. He is the best father a child could have. I love him forever! He continues to share my love of everything "space" and accompanied me a few summers back on our excursion to the Kennedy Space Center as I completed work paid for by a grant I received from the Dodge Foundation. Our love has gone on for 30 years married, 33 years together. I know it will continue until the day I die. What a great feeling! My Kids Michelle graduated from the University of Delaware and is teaching 9th grade ESL at a High School in Delaware. I am so proud of her! She has grown into a lovely woman, full of talent and determination to help her students whose first language is not English. She married Joshua Bartlett on July 30, 2005 and they bought a home in Wilmington DE. Josh's son, Bryan, is the love of our life as well. It's so much fun watching him grow and learn about the world. Our son David graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a degree in Computer Science in ...Expand for more
June 2005. He helps me navigate the world of computers and has made me so proud by receiving grants and recognition in his college studies. I love his "no nonsense" approach to the world! He is working in PA writing computer code and living with a lovely PHD candidate from Drexel named Becky. We love her, too! My Job I'm a Principal at a beautiful suburban elementary school. It's different every minute and I just love it! As I enter my seventh year, I recognize the talent of the teachers who provide a culture of love and respect for their students. It is the hardest job to meet the needs of so many people, but I wouldn't have it any other way! My Family I still miss my Mom who died in 1980. She was an amazing person who left this world far too soon. She gave me immeasurable gifts and security as she loved without a thought for herself. My Dad is still my rock. At 82 years old, he only recently retired. My brothers and my sister enjoy friendship and fond memories of our youth. Patty, as a new mom, has given me a most precious gift in her son, Jack. He simply lights up my life. I'd like to believe that I am still too young to be a grandmother, but I know exactly how it feels in my love for this precious six year old. He is the most beautiful person in every way. Life.... is good. I thank God every day for the gifts I have been given. If you've taken the time to read this far, I can only wish for you the love I have experienced in my life. God bless you and yours!
