Lynn's Story

My husband and I now live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. We enjoy seeing snow on the mountains and green trees all around us. Before leaving California in 1985, I worked as a legal secretary in Van Nuys. After we moved to Oregon, I continued working in the legal field. First as a secretary for a private attorney and then with the Oregon Judicial Department. When my husband and I retired we moved to our present home. My parents used to bring me up here as a child and I have always loved it. Living here had always been my hope and fortunately my husband loves it too. My husband Ron and will be married 42 years next month. Both of us had been married before and between us we have 5 children all grown and on their ow...Expand for more
n. Neither my son or daughter have ever married. Ron's 3 sons are all married and have made him a grandfather many times over. I have always loved to be creative and enjoy doing crafts. Sewing has long been my favorite activity. When my children were growing up I made a lot of their clothing as well as curtains for their rooms. Now my sewing is mostly quilts for the children at the Shrine Children's Hospital. The quilt I am most proud of is the Air Force quilt I made for Ron who is a Viet Nam Veteran. As all of us do, I have experienced ups and downs in my life. But certainly, I have far more to be happy about and only a few regrets. I hope some of you will find time to visit on line and catch up on the past years. Lynn
