Lynn's Story
Life
Me and my husband moved to the Nashville, TN area 10 years ago. My company transfered me here. I worked for EDS at Saturn Corporation in Spring Hill, TN as a computer programmer and business analyst. I since left the workforce 5 years ago and became a stay-at-home mom. I have 2 children, James, age 5 and Melissa, age 3. We love the south and all it has to offer. My life changed dramatically 2 years ago when I underwent 3 months of intensive tests to see if I was a candidate for brain surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for a seizure condition I'd suffered from ...Expand for more
since the age of 13. I underwent surgery in January, 2003. Since then, I have had no seizures and earned the right to drive, which is truly a privilege. I am currently the VP of Education for Toastmasters which keeps me challenged and growing. I volunteer for a brain injury group once a week as well as for the Epilepsy foundation as a mentor for people who suffer from epilepsy. I also do public speaking on behalf of the epilepsy foundation to educate people about the disorder. My life has been exciting and very fulfilling and I feel very blessed to be at home with my children.
