Lynn's Story
Life
On 29 October 1966 I married Barbara Lake. We have been married for 45 years. We have 3 sons, all married with children. We have 14 grandchildren. I have worked in the insurance industry for 35 years. Barb has been a Day Care owner/operator for 33 years. We enjoy our family and camping and water sports. We go camping in our fifth wheel toy hauler and use the quads. I love to go sailing in the ocean near San Diego. We are very involved in our church, working with the youth. We recently retired and moved to Houston to be closer to our youngest son and his wife and six of our granddaughters. Then, they moved to Albuquerque, NM and we followed. (Didn't take the hint.)

On 28 August 2009 I had a stroke and lost the use of my right leg and arm. I spent a month in HealthSouth rehab center and have been able to get back the use of my right arm and most of my leg. I have a lot of respect and gratitude for physical therapy techs. They, (and the Lord) worked miracles for me. Because of them I am able to walk without help and write and shave with my right hand. I am still doing outpatient therapy and working on my fine motor controls. I have also developed a greater love and respect for the Lord and my family. Barbara has been perfect throughout all of this and I thank her for all that she is and does. My grandfather, Loyd L Miller, was the first person to graduate from St. David High School, St. David, AZ.
