Lynne's Story
After high school I worked full time. I tended bar for several years and worked in restaurants. I managed 3 different restaurants for several years and then went back to shool when I was 32 years old. YIKES!. I graduated from McMurry in 1993 with a nursing degree. Since then I have worked in psych hospitals, MR state schools, elder care, Hendrick Medical Center and Abilene Regional Medical Center. I married for the second time in 1983. I have 2 sons, they are now 21 and 24 years old. My husband of 23 years died suddenly in September 2006 of a heart attack. hat has happened to me is my home burning to the ground in December 2005. We lost everything. Nothing like starting from scratch while in my 40's. :-). When the going gets tough, the tough get going... I am a member of the 'tough club'.
I live out in Clyde on a farm where we raise registered Louisiana Catahoula dogs and a multitude of chickens. We are trying to become more self sufficient so a large garden is now in the ground. We fish and hunt to fill the freezer with meat. It has been a good year, the freezer is full and the garden is green. Peace to each of you who read this. Lynne Callaway Boykin
