Lynne's Story
Life
After college I got married and worked for an investment company in Vancouver. I suppose some time around the end of 1996 I decided I wanted more out of life and left my ex husband and took some time to figure out what I really wanted. I stayed in the area a couple more years until I met the love of my life and moved to the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) in California.
While living in Cali, my husband and I were married on a sailboat in Lake Tahoe on 4/15/00 (woohoo! Tax day!). He's a great guy and I thank God everyday we found each other. I can honestly say he's my best friend and I love him so very much. He takes good care of me.
When I moved to the bay area I started working as a Techical Recruiter in-house for various high tech companies hiring Hardware and Software Engineers. This was during the .com frenzy and companies were throwing stocks and money around like crazy and everyone thought they would be rich the rest of their lives (lol). Luckily my husband and I kept our wits about us and didn't spend it all and found employment in the bio-tech industry while many were being laid off and unable to find comparable employment.

th of our families still lived. Luckily, my husband's company made him an offer he couldn't refuse and allow him to telecommute Monday and Friday from home here in Washington and fly him to Cali to work on site 3 days a week. And kind of ironically because of my own medical issues, I'm pretty much retired now but try to help my husband out with recruiting when he needs it on a consultant basis. So we sold our condo in San Jose and built a house on Prune Hill in Camas, WA.
My husband is an Oregon Duck grad and during college football season we are at Autzen having a great time with lots of friends for every home game and go to one or two of the big away games. I really only wear my WSU gear when Oregon plays Washington State in Pullman...so by default I would say I'm more of a Duck fan than Coug at this point.
We love to travel when we can and have been all over the world together. The rest of our free time is spent trying to keep fit and spending a little time in casinos even though we never really win much. For the most part, I have to say I love my life and feel very fortunate about the way things have worked out so far. I hope all of you feel the same! If you remember me from Highschool or College...send me a note! Would love to hear from you!
