Lynne's Story
I left Arcadia HS in 1961 and moved to San Clemente to finish school. Then on to OCC and the Univ. of Ill. to major in Botany. Took Spanish, wanted to work in SoAmerica on forest ecology..........instead I took an opportunity to travel and spent over a year "on-the-road" in Europe and West Africa.
After returning to the States I became an Interior Designer, a career of 30+ years in SoCA. Had my son late, at 42, was divorced and moved to Portland, OR from San Diego in 1991 where we have happily been for 20 years now.

Here in Portland, after "semi-retiring" in 1995, I went to work for a non-profit in program mgmt. then onto environmental restoration where I finally used my Botany (!) to restore a beautiful little canyon with a cold water spring right here in the city, tucked away like a lost gem. The neighborhood had been treating it as a trash dump for years and now it sparkles and we've even gotten some salmonid action there now!
Am retired fully now, lovin' it! Am finally a grandparent and loving that even more.................
