Lynne's Story
Wow, it's been a long time.
I went to U of O for two years (Dance/Lit.), ended up back in Longview, teaching ballet, and got married.
Went to Cornish Institute of Allied Arts in Seattle, moved to Salem, started my own studio, got divorced, continued teaching.
2-3 years later got married, moved to Portland, became a sign language interpreter for the Deaf. Worked about two years, got divorced, then injured (over-use syndrome), gained about 100 lbs, continued working as an interpreter in the school system for about 18 years. Moved to Portland/Vancouver, worked about 3 years with Deaf/multiply-handicapped adults (one-on-one).
Married again about 4 1/2 years ago; now living in Vancouver, and have worked for 4 years in the activities dept. of a nearby retirement community.
Never had children myself, but I have a built-in family now - two of my husband's grown children, their spouses, and two amazing grandchildren. Apparently I am being "normal" for the first time in my life: a mortgage, a cat, and roses in the front yard. So far, so good!
