Lynne's Story
After high school, I went to work full time at PNB in Philly, then Campbell Soup, and lastly Cooper Hospital, before meeting my fiance' at the time, who I met at the Philadelphia Naval Base, got married in 1971 and moved to Northern Virginia where I have lived for the past 42 years.
I have one son, a daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren who light up my life, and they live in Northern Virginia as well.
Living outside of Washington, DC has been an enriching experience for me in many ways. Little did I know at the time, after our senior class trip to DC, I never thought I'd be living here. iring here - whenever that is.
I am currently working for a government contractor and have been with the company for many years. In my spare time I enjoy visiting my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids, getting out on day trips and weekend trips, a vacation whenever possible, photography, cooking, flower design, concerts, plays, movies.
Travels have taken me to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Vermont, Canada, San Francisco, Monteray, CA, San Antonio, Abilene, Austin, and Midland, TX and various places in West Virginia, southern Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. My bucket list of places to visit is much, much larger however. I'd love to go cross country, and to Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, Austria, and so many more countries.
I hope we have a re-union this year. I have not gone to the past two - would love to be there this year!
