Ellen's Story
I married in 1963 to Winn Nash. After ten years of marriage, we had two girls. In 1975 Winn died, the girls were ages 8 months and 28 months. I came back to Maysville. I wanted to stay home with my children and did so. When they went to school, I became involved in Foster care. I had 40 children in eight years. To explain, some stayed just a weekend until a permnaent Foster home could be located. Ohers stayed as long as 3 years. Two of the teenage girls stayed after they opted out of Foster care and got on their own feet or got married. Ater eight years and my girls reaching teenage year...Expand for more
s, I wnet to work at Brownings. In 1989 I met my current husband, Rick Curry. We were married in 1990. Between us we have four girls and six grandchildren. We are proud of all of then. I becane sick with an auto-immmune diease "sjogrens" pronounced "show=grins" I had to go on oxygen 24/7 because it attched my lungs and destroied 53% of my lungs ability to take in air. It has now effected my eyes and kidneys. It is known as the dry diease and attacks the moist areas of you body. Okay enough of this topic. I do enjoy hearing from all of you.
