Merrijo's Story

I've been a widow since 12/01/2009....was married for 39 years. 2 children, Erin & Adam. Erin is Executive Pastry Chef for UW in Milwaukee.. & Adam had spent his life in restaurants as server & Captain, & now is selling INS. Decided w/Covid here, & restaurants closed in Chicago...he better make career move. . Hey, no grandkids so I go on bout my kids, lolol.. We moved here in 1983 when Terry (husband) took a corporate transfer for Outboard Marine Corp. I've been a Realtor since 1986, in the Chicago area. I work all Lake, McHenry Cos. & Northern Cook County. I LOVE what I do!! Have meant so many wonderful people & am happy to say many have become good friends! I LOVE gardening!...Expand for more
!!! My husband dug a 1200 gal Koi pond in 2000....& I keep it going. HAD big Koi, til Polar Vortex we had few years ago... Lost all my biggest Koi... My house is like a couple of miles West of Waukegan...I call it lala land...lol. It's really more like the tiny town of Wadsworth....& many of my neighbors refer to the area as Wadsworth...not Waukegan. lolol Diff Township from Waukegan...Warren township so Gurnee schools. Out in country! & I still love it here. If you know where Great America is in Gurnee.....I live less than 10 minutes away & also Gurnee Mills...the same. I played in the orchestra (violin) & was part of the group that went to World's Fair... Good health!!!

Just finished adding 15 Pennsylvania stepping stones to path to backyard gate. Wheee only took 1 1/2 hrs...not too bad for old girl w/bad knee but new hip !! Determination!!
