Madeline's Story
HI, I WASN'T ABLE TO GRADUATE FROM OCEANA DUE TO MY FATHERS LOSS OF VISION, AND A MOVE TO MAN, WVA, BUT MY HEART WAS ALWAYS WITH MY FELLOW STUDENTS AT OCEANA. AFTER GRADUATION IN '64, WE MOVED TO NEW JERSEY. I MET MY HUSBAND IN NEW YORK ON 11/30/64. WE MARRID ON 4/10/65,43 YEARS TODAY. WE HAD 4 CHILDREN AND 8 GRANDS. I WORKED FOR MOST OF OUR MARRIAGE AS A CASHIER IN A GROCERY STORE, SETTING UP MEDICATIONS IN A PHARMACY, AND AT 40 YEARS OF AGE, I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL TO BE A DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN, A JOB I HAVE LOVED FOR 20 PLUS YEARS. i WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM OTHERS, AND HEAR WHAT THEIR STORI...Expand for more

I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.it just came later in my life. as a dialysis tech I did a lot of teaching. I am retired now, and
have a busy year, disney world in late june 2009, wedding for my nephew in august, and a bahama cruise in oct. 2009. i finally have some free time to read, volunteer at my church, and see my grandkids for proms and special events that i had to miss due to my work schedule. hope to hear from "YOU"
