Madeline's Story

I have been on the great adventure of life. I have two sons. Both married with two kids each and one with three grandkids. My daughter in laws are lovely women. They all live out of state. I always say I could not run fast enough to keep up with them. So I live here. Their careers take them to other states and countries, military, govt. contractor and State. They work to keep us safe. Very very proud blue star mom. Before finally settling down here in the mountains we traveled a lot. Lived in Alaska because we wanted to. Moved back to Wilton. Rode on the back of and in a side car of a motorcycle for over 48 years all over the United States. Had lots of classic cars and the fun that goes with that. Lived in San Diego. Had a sailboat and convertible there. Lived in Ridgecrest, high desert. Spent lots of time exploring Death Valley and the desert itself. Adopted by a desert tortoise, that I in turn adopted. Found the best places to fish. I love fishing. After Dave retired from govt. we moved back to Wilton. Had a sprawling ranch style home. Lived in it for a year. Had to stay long enough to enjoy the spa tub and beauty of the new h...Expand for more
ouse. Had to have Oversized three car garage for what else but classic cars and a Harley. I even got to park my car in the garage lol. Sold it at the best time, stored our stuff and took off in our pickup and 5th wheel and traveled the good ole USA. So many great memories!!!! Met some truely wonderful people along the way. After a year we came back to spend 4th of July with family and friends. We were driving through these mountains. Looked around and Dave said he was ready for his big screen tv and to be able to lay on the floor lol. So here we are. Between all of this we would go t o visit our sons and families every chance we could. Even went to Germany and traveled around. The mountains are beautiful, serene, quiet and peaceful. I love my sunroom! I love the many lakes and I love no lines at stores or any where else and no traffic. Husband is nt able to do much now due to too many back surgeries and disablibling . I miss all the advenure and motorcycle rides. I am good, just older. Oh I still have adventure and friends and fun. I have my sisters and brother still in North Highlands . See them fairly often. All is good in my world.
