Manuel's Story
Life
Moved to NC in 1987. Have a wonderful 16 year old daughter. Recently re-married to a gorgeous southern belle. Working as a registered nurse.
School
The first 3 years of high school, I felt were just a blur, a waste of time and talent. I coulda/shoulda done more to make it memorable. Instead I concentrated on being invisible, studying (for what, who knows?). Most people would say high school was the best times of their lives, but for me, it wasn't. t to come. Those who might remember me may recall I was introverted, quiet...a nice guy, and not much to look at. That's OK, I've blossomed. I am outgoing, funny, compassionate, and held in high regard and respect by the nurses and physicians I work with.
I am trying to instill in my daughter, who is a high school junior, that the best is yet to come, that high school will eventually become a faint memory, merely a stepping stone to the rest of her life. I hope she listens.
