Marc's Story

Life After high school I attended NJIT, met my wife, attained my BSME and became an USAF officer. From there, we were stationed in Phoenix where my first son was born and I received my wings. I then attended some brief training assignments in Florida which included an ejection from an out of control aircraft. Following that period we moved to my first regular duty station in Anchorage, Alaska where my second son was born. We remained there three years. Following some other brief training assignments, we were then stationed in rural South Carolina. After spending nearly 9 years as an USAF fighter pilot I left military service in 1988 and was hired as an airline pilot where I remain today. Following 9-11 I became involved in the political effort to train, deputize and arm airline pilots in d...Expand for more
efense of terrorist attacks. I helped found and became the Executive VP of a 50,000 member advocacy group. I served that organization for two years before leaving and subsequently joined the Passenger-Cargo Security Group (pcsg.us), an organization that advises Congress and government agencies on issues involving commercial air travel security. I also serve the Federal Flight Deck Officer's Association (FFDOA.org) as a legislative advisor and lobbyist. My sons are grown: My older son also received his BSME and serves in the USAF as an engineer, is married and has a two-year-old son. My younger son recently graduated and received his BA in economics and psychology. He works for a hedge fund in Stamford CT. My wife and I are enjoying life and have lived in Cincinnati since leaving the military.
