Hey folks, I know I didn't graduate from South, but I grew up in Olathe and of my three high schools Olathe is where I have the most friends. Besides Olathe South, I went to Euless (TX) Trinity HS in DFW (home of giant Tongan football players) before graduating from Lake Orion HS in suburban Detroit. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Geography and later received an MBA in marketing from Oklahoma City University. I currently work at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, where I've been since 2000.
God got back at me for hating Detroit so much, because when I was at Oklahoma I met a girl from Michigan (not Detroit) who I eventually married. Lindsay and I now have three kids, MacArthur, Mary Grace, and Theodore. We're heavily involved in Boy and Girl Scouts with all three.

I called hockey play-by-play for three seasons as a side gig and still pop into the booth from time to time for some local teams (as I understand it, a rather infamous clip of mine is played occasionally over the PA at Dallas Stars games). I've also done some writing on hockey statistical analysis for SportsIllustrated.com and the Hockey Prospectus. I originally went to Oklahoma to get a meteorology degree, and saw my share of tornadoes, but did a little too much chasing and not enough studying. While I still watch storms from the porch and follow them on my computer, I haven't been on a chase in over ten years and have no desire to resume it as there's just too many idiots on the road. My final vice, pinball, I do not enjoy enough as there are no decent arcades in Fort Worth. I do, however, attend pinball festivals/tournaments in Dallas and Houston on a regular basis to tide me over until I can build my own game room at home.
