California, Nebraska, Arizona, Texas, Iowa, Nevada are just a few of them. In the late 80's and early 90's I DJ'd in nightclubs in California, Nevada and Arizona. Getting my start at the original Shark Club in Las Vegas I made my way through the rave scene and club scene as a DJ working in Las Vegas, LA, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Tucson. In 1992 I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska. 1992 - 1995. Lets just say that if I hadn't made the move to Nebraska I wouldn't be alive today. In the mid 90's I started in radio and got my first break at KKDM in Des Moines. I used the alias Skyy at KKDM 107dot5. From KKDM I went on to work for KAZR, 'Lazer 103.3' and the Journal Broadcast group as a Digital Production Director. Not long after leaving Radio I made my way into computers working for Scott Studios who manufatured digital automate...Expand for more
d computer system for radio, to bad many years later Google would buy them, perhaps I should have stayed. From that point on I have been in the computer support industry working for such companies as Tandem (not Tandy), Compaq, EDS, and Apple. Now you can typically find me online most days with my weekends going to real life entertainment such as Disneyland, live music shows, and travel. NYC anyone? Side note... People that have made it possible for me to be who I am: Mom and Dad and Grandma... Everyday I think they ponder why I'm still pestering them. Pineapple, Tomato, Bubby, Doc, Sam Kinison (Yes Sam Kinison) from the Shark Club. Another day... Barb, Al, Kristi, Michele Silverberg... I'd still be living in a gutter somewhere. RIP Barb Carla S. for turning me onto UNL. TY. Shane Galitski for being like a brother to me and for doing things with me as a kid that typically meant someone was going to jail... Good news... we never got caught! I still can't explain how the news stand made it into the apartment but it sounded like a good idea at the time. Hammer anyone? Rob York, Andrea Casart and Jenna G. for making sure I was alive, I mean entertained while I was at UNL Brian Dutton, who I lost touch with, who was like my sister, from a different mother... Still miss that guy. Sophia John and her family... My adopted sister and family. They not only made it possible for me to get back on track when all I could do was go down the wrong one. They pushed me down the right one anytime they could. Good thing I didn't call Sophia by her nickname ;) J. Michael McKoy aka Mac. For giving me my first job in radio aka first real grown up job. Even to this day I still can't believe he hired me. Serious. Ask him. So enjoy your life.".
