Marcella's Story

I left Memphis in 1979 and moved to Waukegan Illinois,a suburb outside of Chicago. I met my ex husband while working as a Activity Assistant at Lake Park Center (nursing home). d 3 girls. My firstborn DuShawn Nicole Geeter, was born in 1972 the year after I graduated from high school was the mother of 4. She passed away on Feb.17,2005 at the age of 33. I threw myself into my work to keep my sanity. For the past 20 years I have work as a Mental Health Tech. at the Ann M. Kiley Center for the Developmentally Disabled.
