Marci's Story

Hay, y'all! Got married to my DH in 1987, he is absolutely the most wonderful man in the world. Now, I know a lot of women say that, with my DH it is actually true! We have a son and a daughter, 1 grandson, 2 grand daughters, 7 nieces and 3 nephews. We have a bobtail cat named Jim Anderson. My DH works with computers and I am an Internet marketer, among other things. My hobbies are horseback riding (hunter/jumper) and photography, among several others. Parson is my favorite horse. He is a 38 year old jumper, we retired him at 34. He is a registered QH gelding, 16.1 hands and blind in one eye. Any time I ever fell off Parson, it was my fault, he is the hottest, smartest, most well trained horse I have ever had. Parson could jump anything I pointed him at. If I had only one thing to do over, I would become a much better rider. I used to ride motorcycles, however, my knee Dr. made me quit. Have donor ligaments and titanium screws in both knees. Yeah, Ouch! I REALLY miss riding my 2001 Triumph Legend 900, a British bike, it purrs! DH got it for my birthday in 2001. One of my favorite quotes is: "Teach those who are ignorant as many things as possible; society is culpable, in that it does not afford instruction gratis; it is responsible for the night which it produces. This soul is full of shadow; sin is therein committed. The guilty one is not the person who has committed the sin, but the person who has created the shadow." ~ from Les Misérables by Victor Hugo [words apparently spoken by The Bishop M. Charles-Francois-Bienvenu Myriel] The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Stacy Ewing, because I have no idea where she is now. If I could improve my home, I'd tear it down and start over. It is 1973 tight fisted Yankee ugly. I, however, did not build it. My dream home would be On the top of a mountian I climbed in Colombia in 1973. Children will drive you crazy and break your heart into dozens of pieces, but they are worth having. Then, they give you GRANDchildren, with whom you can have lots of good times and Return them at the end of the day! The teacher I would most like to see again is Mrs. Cerney. She was a substitute English Teacher at Oxford High School. Mrs. Cerney, you twinkled too. I will never forget, fishing with Daddy on Tunica Cutoff, an Oxbow lake that was once part of the Mississippi River. We lived in Memphis and would drive to Tunica, starting early in the morning. On the way, we stopped and got a loaf of bread, cheese and crackers and some soft drinks for lunch. In Tunica, there was an elderly man who started BBQing whole chickens early in the morning. By the time we got to Tunica, they were ready. One of those chickens with the rest of our food was some of the best I have ever eaten. The Shellcrackers we caught (red eared Pearch) were huge enough to be fileted. They were some mighty fine eating. Where we fished in the lake, the trees overhead were green, the water was green with duckweed, the whole world was green and beau...Expand for more
tiful... My first job was at Kroger, where I got paid enough money to be completely selfsufficient. What I remember most about it is being the lead of the department that sent Money Western Union. The language barriers were quite a challange. Started with Kroger in 1976 and ended in 2001 when I formed my own Internet Marketing Company, Riddles. My oldest friend, who is one year younger than I am, is Jimmy Bevill, of Oxford, MS. We met when he was 4 and I was 5 and were inseperable right up into my college years. Wish I knew where he is, would like for him to meet my DH and our children and grandchildren. In 10 years, I hope to be the owner of several horses I can use for theraputic riding for children and adults. I'm going to get there by hook or federal grant..'cause it is going to take a lot of money. I have 2 horses who love me, Parson and Aztec Cheif. I share my home with Jim Anderson, a bobtailed cat, which I find very amusing since he thinks he is a dog. To be truly happy, I would be snow skiing on Monarch Pass in the Rocky Mountians with my DH, in about 12 inches of fresh powder. Have a pair of 1969 Vietnam issue cargo pants that I wear constantly. All those pockets are great for a photographer. Also wear steeltoed Harley boots when out photographing wildlife and such. I like snakes, but not the mean ones. My DH and I found eachother after kissing several toads each. 2nd and last marriage for both of us. The biggest surprise of my life was when my DH hit Bambo (BambiXRambo) while riding my small Honda 250 motorcycle. DH nearly died sevreal times whild in CCU and the whole thing brought us much closer together. My current age is 53 years young. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be ancient or dead. I was so completely wrong, I enjoy life more the older I get. If I won $100 million, I'd give $80 million of it to The Salvation Army, they do a great job helping people all over the world, then spend the rest on investments, family, friends and animals. The main passions in my life are my DH,Horses, Photography, snow skiing, Horses and more horses. We live in Central Mississippi. Moved down here from Oxford, Mississippi to marry my DH. The wildest thing I ever did in school was to wear my Memphis, Tennessee, Wooddale High School clothes to Oxford High School in Oxford, Mississippi and almost got sent home 3 times. Moving to Mississippi and going to school there in the 11th. and 12th. grades was like going back into the Dark Ages. My favorite way to relax is to ride my horse at a good, fast hand gallop. My Uncle Sid, 84, and my Aunt Mary, 85, are my heros. They are so fit, working out at their gym 3 times a week and super healthy. They were my spiritual parents while I was growing up and I wish to goodness I had listened to them about my first marriage, at 19 years dumb! If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have authority, the freedom to make decisions, and and the authority to back them up to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
