Marcia's Story
Life
Jay and I have just celebrated 30 years of marriage this past September. I was in the Navy and married overseas while stationed in Rota, Spain. We have two girls.
I live in the state of Wisconsin now. The family has done some traveling around the world with the Navy and we have lived in some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. My Favorite place to live was the Hawaiian Islands, for three years we were stationed there at Pearl Harbor.
I work for a company who has a DOD contract with the military for health care insurance. My oldest daughter also works at the same place and my youngest works for a company who also has a DOD contract with the military making ammo for Blackhawk choppers. We are tring to do our part to support the military. :)

. I joined under the delayed entry program in Feb of 1977. I was in Company 3045 at Orlando, Fl. from May of 1977 to July of 1977. I attended "A" school in Pensacola, Fl., then my orders were cut to be assigned to Rota, Spain at Navcomsta. I was a Radioman at the Message Center and Receiver site on base. Also worked TAD at the Personel Office and Post Office on Base before my assignment at the Message Center.
I met my husband overseas and we were married in Rota, Spain in the fall of 1978. He was stationed aboard the USS Canopus AS-34 there from 76 to 80.
We traveled around and were stationed in Spain, South Carolina, Hawaii and California.
I became a Third Class Petty officer (RM3) in the summer of 1979 while stationed in Rota at the Naval Communications Station (Navcomsta).
We have two beautiful girls and now reside in the state of Wisconsin.
