Marcia's Story

Life I have been married for almost 40 years. I moved to Akron, Ohio in December 1970. I have two daughters. The oldest (35 yrs) is the Managing News Director at Ohio University for the TV and Radio stations, is a communications professor. My youngest daughter who is now 31 years old just had a her first child on July 10th, 2008, a little boy. Now I have two grandsons. I now have 3 grandsons and my youngest is expecting twins in August, 2010 We lived in Charlotte,N.C. for the 4 years. I moved back to Ohio on October 29th, 2001. I really enjoyed the Carolina's, now I have to get used to the cold winters again. I will be near my oldest daughter again but left my youngest behind. They poured the footers on our new home the day that the WTC was hit, what a way to remember my new home. I have been back in Ohio now for 8 years. I am trying to start a business now from a lot of encouragement from friends and family. I started taking some really beautiful pictures around my yard of butterflies and bees and it is just steamrolling from there. They want me to sell them on the internet and at Art Fairs. Hopefully this will be a success. I should be in business by the end of the year 2004. My new business is called Marcia Colelli Photography Well, I am still doing photography and have gotten a little better at it .I have been to Scotland on a photography meet 2005 and numerous other meets here is th...Expand for more
e USA. I have been published a few times now. I had a full page of one of my Train photos in the July 2008 issue of Trains Magazine. They have also used my bunny pictures for this years National Wildlife Federation pamphlet, sold one of my Wood Ducks on Ebay for a fund raiser, published another Wood Duck on their email and are now publishing my Baby Bunny for a Ranger Rick issue in Jan. 2009 and a Valentine card. I am now in 5 art galleries locally and one of them is working with a designer to get some large canvas prints of my work for the lobbies of a large car dealership here in Ohio. If anyone wants to get in touch with me, you can Google my name and find me through my web site and also Facebook. pbase dot com/mcolelli My oldest daughter won #1 documentary this year in Ohio for her story on why there is no TV stations in Akron, Ohio. She is currently working on a documentary about the Waterloo Wonders, a 1930's basketball team. The Waterloo Wonders was a very successful documentary and they have now sold 100 DVD's and have several in libraries around Ohio and a few video stores have bought 5 copies. They are nominating it for an Emmy, keep your fingers crossed for her. Her next Documentary will be on Sammy Kay the Big Band Leader from the 40's. contact me at: pbase dot com/mcolelli I am also on facebook dot com
