Marcia's Story
Life
My maiden name was Niska, but now I am known as Marcia Muonio. My husband Richard and I will celebrate our 39th anniversary on June 26th. We have seven children, five boys and two girls, all of whom are married except the youngest, a boy. We have two boys in Washington, one in Montana, a daughter in Minnesota and one in Wisconsin, and two boys here in the metropolitan Detroit area. We have 17 grandchildren, 11 boys and six girls, ranging in age from one to 12 years; only five of them are in Michigan.
A year ago we had only one son, Byron, living in South Lyon, who owns Lyon's Market Place. Byron got very sick with a 107.8 fever from viral encephalitis and we didn't know if he would live. He did come out of the coma, though, and his brother, Paul...Expand for more
, came from Washington to help keep the store running. We are happy to have Paul and his wife Lena from Norway back here in Michigan, and we are thankful to God that Byron has recovered pretty much normally.
I am a freelance court reporter, meaning that I take testimony from witnesses before trial, and I can travel anywhere from Port Huron to Toledo to Jackson to Mt. Pleasant. My husband is a metallurgy technician for DaimlerChrysler.
We live in the same house that I did while growing up and we are just now starting to put on a 1,500 square foot addition, part of which will be a library to house my 10,000 books, and partly so that we have more room when the kids come home with the grandkids.
Life is busy so there's no time to be bored, and fun.
