Marcie's Story
Life
Grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Joined the Navy at age 18 in 1991. This is 2005 and I am still in the Navy. Married my husband Don Robinson in July 2003 and we had our first child, Kaden in November of 2004. Life is great!
School
I would not do it all over again if I had the chance. I was talking with someone just the other day about how we do not miss our highschool years. Back in highschool I always wished I could fast-forward time until I was a full-fledge grown up. I don't envy the teenagers going through it right now. I'll have to learn how to help my son through those years. I can't say I had any crushes since I dated the same person for most of the 4 years. The teacher that inspired me the most was Mr. Jones, the ceramic and arts teacher. He was awesome.
College

of college were during my off-duty hours. My last 2 years of college was back home in Milwaukee at the University of Wisconsin full-time. I was married, pregnant for a semester and had a newborn my last semester, so no "college days" here.

Military
Too many years in to go into all the details. Boot camp sucked. Fort Meade was great once I turned 21. Germany was awesome (except for the command, it sucked). Hawaii was beautiful and the job was rewarding (although I didn't know it at the time). D.C. was a waste besides getting sellected for an officer program and meeting my future husband. ROTC was a challenge. Thank God I was only there for 2 years, couldn't have lasted if I had to do the full 4. Pretty soon I am off to my first sea tour and couldn't be more excited!
