Marcy's Story
6/25/2009 - Still married, to the same one. Two boys, 19 and 16. They are smart, but kind of lazy (lol).
I'm currently working at Pegasus Solutions as a Sr. Systems Engineer doing all things Solaris. I really like the job, except for rotating on-call when they basically own me for the week. That week is like "death by a million paper cuts".
Life is good, so far, we haven't been mangled too bad with the economy (we got hit in the 2002 IT economic bust, so I'm hoping we're spared this one).
My work buddies tease me that I'm a nerd and an over-achiever, and that I can get a bit grouchy when I'm on call. I don't...Expand for more
know why they think I'm a nerd, just because I have 5 computers and a mac laptop sitting at the end of my bed ...
They also think I'm a heck of a lot of fun at a party ... everybody tries to get me to drink a glass or two. Nobody accuses me of being boring ...!
I've been in touch with some of my High School classmates recently ... it was so WEIRD. Just like yesterday! Nice to see them, weird as their stories may be!
I recently bought my midlife crises car -- Infinity G37 Coupe. I didn't go too outrageous. I really do like it; the keyless ignition is nice ... and I splurged on a Satellite radio subscription.
