Margaret's Story
Life
After Cecilian I attended and Graduated from St. Joes, with a degree in Ed. and for a short time I taught in catholic school in Germantown. Then I moved to Aberdeen, Maryland and taught grade 4 there,for several years. I received my Masters from Loyola, in Reading. That way I could have a double major. It is also where I met my husband,Gordie. We live in upstate NY. North of Syracuse by about 65 miles. I live closer to the Canadian border.My husband and I have been married for 23 years this past 10/17 we celebrated our anniversay before he had to leave . Today 10/24/04 I am alone . I saw my husband off yesterday on his way to Iraq. He is in the NY National Guard and has spent many weeks down in NYC after 911.He has also spent 6 mont...Expand for more
hs in NJ trainning for this. Yesterday was the worse separation yet. I guess I am only asking you remember my husband in your prayers.
I am fortunate that I have a job I really enjoy this year (teaching grade 5) I have a new boss who is wonderful,so that is a plus.I have been teaching in the same school for 17 years.
I have heard from a few of my classmates and you all seem to be doing well.I am lucky to be close to Ginnie,my sister, she lives in Ft. Washington, and since my Mother's passing in March, I have been down there quite a bit trying to settle things. By close I don't mean living close because I live 6 hours away.
I have started my advanced class in stained glass. I enjoy doing that. Reading mysteries are another favorite thing.Plus now I guess I will enjoy doing all of Gordie's "chores"..
