Margaret Bengston's Story

Left Huntsville High for New Orleans, LA and went to work in telephone sales for McKesson Robbins Drug Wholesale. Met hubby there and we were married 3/20/1971 and relocated to Memphis, TN. This year we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Went to Memphis State University and worked for State of TN Dept of Children's Services as a social worker/child welfare benefits specialist from 1975 to 2001. community service projects like preemie burial clothing, pillows for the homeless, and clothing repairs and alterations for church members. I am very active in the American Sewing Guild, Threads of Love, United Methodist Women and Golden Cross Ministries of the United Methodist Church. I have a wonderful life with a loving, caring supportive hubby and daughter. Now, as of 12/2022, I am in a Fashion Essentials Designer class thru Parsons School of Design working on a certificate in pattern drafting for clothing.
