Margaret's Story
When I graduated, I married my soldier.We lived in Italy for 2 1/2 years. Our first daughter and first son were born in Naples. We returned to the states and lived in N.J. for awhile before coming to South Carolina, where my husband retired from the Air Force after 25 years. We bought a house, a dog, two cars and began our lives as civilians. We now have four grown children, who have children of their own. We raised our four, and several others as foster
parents. I had my own childcar...Expand for more
e business for 12 years. I worked through all the years that my children were growing up; I wore many hats. All of our children, except one, are either in the military or married to someone who is. One of our children will be returning to Italy, or possibly Germany, and one now lives in Utah.The other two live within a few minutes vs. a few hours drive from us. This about sums up the long road I have traveled to get here. Hope to hear from old friends and make some new ones. God Bless.
