Life Married w/ 5 yr old daughter. Live in S. Jersey near Atlantic City, but never go there unless forced! Work as a environmental educator for a Park system for 20 y...Expand for more
rs. Live w/ many cats and other animals. Still love nature and getting out when I can, since Lyme's disease has taken its toll. Still visit Conn every Thanksgiving.

Today would have been my mom's 90th birthday. I was hoping she'd make this milestone because I don't believe anyone else on her side ever did. Well being 2020 it was not to be. Miss you mom!

I realize it's the end of the day, but today would have been John Hansen's 71st birthday. He was a great friend, and I miss him every single day!
Not a great pic, crappy light, but a life bird thought I would never see unless I went to Minnesota in winter. A Great gray owl in the Adirondacks, 10 miles from my brother in laws house. I am so happy!!

Interesting find this morning. With all the rain, there are mushrooms everywhere. These are 2 patches of Indian pipes, an herbaceous plant that has no chlorophyll so it's not green. It feeds on decaying matter, like fungi (
