I'm married to Gene Smith (BCHS Class of 1974) for over 25 years. I attended my first UGA football game in 1978 --- and although we didn't start dating then (he was finishing college, and I was just a junior in high school), it was the first of many games for us over the years. Even though we had been to many games and events together prior to 1981, our first "official date" was to a GA/FL weekend in 1981, and we are still faithfully attending UGA games from Knoxville, Nashville, Columbia, and Auburn to Jacksonville, New Orleans/Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa and Atlanta. We have made tailgating in Tate/Boggs parking lots a family tradition, and our kids love the dawgs almost as much as we do! We have two children: Patrick (age 14 / 9th grade) and Katie (age 13 / 8th grade). Our lives, as you might guess, mainly revolve around the kids and their activities. Patrick plays on his school's B-team (9th and 10th) football, dresses with varsity football, plays B-team and varsity basketball, and B-team baseball team, and although an 8th grader, Katie cheers for B-team and plays ...Expand for more
