Margaret's Story
I have been happy in my relationships with family and friends for over forty-five years.
Married my High School sweetheat (Dennis Burke- class of 1968) in 1970, lived in Olney on Nedro Avenue for 12 years before moving to Abington PA.
We have 3 great children, Denielle(35)married with two children- Husband Shawn, grandchildren Emily -7 years old and Justin- 3. They live in the Chicago area. Denise(32) Husband Jeff, Grandchild Jeffrey-19 months, both graduates of Abington High School, teachers with their Master degrees. Dennis(28),single, IT Tech and is a dedicated mens Ice Hockey player.
Have had continued friendship with 6 of my dearest friends from Olney High and elementary school, for almost fifty years. We have stayed friends and our families and kids are friends. Recently with in the last year (Reuniting at the last re...Expand for more
union) have had contact with 15-20 Olney High classmates for lunches and dinners. Also keep in touch with lost friends through e-mail, Facebook and phone.
Dennis and I still enjoy some of the same things we did when we were in High School. I stayed active with Softball, tennis and vollyball well into my forties. We both still enjoy dancing and are always ready for a good time out with friends. We were very active in the community coaching mostly softball to high levels, we both coached travel tournament teams for over 15 years and coached at a rec level. Dennis coached Soccar and baseball when our kids played. I have recently retired as President from our community softball league and board of directors.
Now we are enjoying the times with the grandkids and friends, escaping to our home in the Pocanos and keeping active.
