Margaret's Story
After graduating high school I went to SUNY Cobleskill Horse Concentration Animal Husbandry. Graduated College. Married 2x divorced2x. Lapse of good judgment...... oh well..... it happens. Managed a flower shop for a few years then started working at Roosevelt Raceway training harness horses till the track closed in late 80’s. Continued another year or so in Jersey’s tracks. Started bartending after that in Centerport,Huntington, Northport. Met a wonderful man (Joe) who is a custom home builder and started dating in 2001. Moved upstate NY Windham in 2005 as we bought and renovated a 20+ room Inn and Restaurant. Managed the place and was the front of the house personnel/hostess until I had to move i...Expand for more
nto the kitchen as Joe chased our Tequila infused Chef out of the kitchen one night......hence became the the chef. We both had enough of the restaurant business in 2013 and unloaded it on another dreamer.
Joe continues to build custom Log and Timber homes here and is just finishing the biggest Timber peg wedding barn in the area. I am currently spending my time private cheffing at local AirBnB’s which I enjoy and more profitable.
We got engaged last year ..... took long enough......almost 20 years and were planning on getting married this year until Covid-19 squashed that so holding off till 2021 sometime. So.....that’s my story.
