Margaret's Story
Life
Age: In the middle. I'll stay here for at least as long as it took me to get here, and still call it the middle. Everyone on both sides seem "younger" than they used to....
Family: Married for 10 years, adding 2 cute and vastly different boys along the way in quick succession (ages 4 and 2 1/2). The most challenging and by far most rewarding sleepless 4 years so far. I can't WAIT for a full night's sleep again one day.
Pets: A brief foray into having a modern-aged dragon in my home (an iguana) lasted 4 years, during residency training. Now I know why people in tropical regions choose to eat these untrainable and exhasperating reptiles, rather than make them family members.
Home: Never thought I'd live here, but love it! WISCONSIN. I still get teased about being a "Vi-queens" fan, though. ...Expand for more
Job: Community-based pathologist, with a subspecialty interest in cytopathology and teaching position at the Medical College of Wisconsin. My first "real" job in Ohio was 1-1/2 years of coping with dysfunction. I am so happy to be among the decent and sane again; this one is a keeper.
Hobbies: Still motorycyling (Honda VTR1000), and hoping to one day again participate in karate, kickboxing, weightlifting and rollerblading (but where's the time?) Recently added "Mom" hobbies of jewelry making (beading)and basket weaving. Still love cooking, brewing beer, and home projects, although no recent furniture refinishing.
Life's ambition: To grow old and always stay enthusiastic about my job, entertained by life, to love and be loved. Also, to never sweat the small stuff but not take anything for granted.
