Margaret's Story

Here's my story.....after graduation I decided not to go to Valparazo, Indiana to school and took a job in New Haven at the phone company. Earned a lot of money for the times. My family moved to Hamden right after graduation. The hours at SNET were crazy so I took a job at Second New Haven Bank where I met my first husband, John Franco. We moved to Cheshire, had two children, moved to Madison and got a divorce. But during that time we rented a cottage for a week or two on First Avenue, Bayview Beach, for 12 years every summer. I moved back to Cheshire after we divorced. I went to work at North American Bank and Trust and took some courses at Post U and worked my way up from a receptionist to Mortgage Underwriter. Then went to a couple other banks/financial institutions to work and became a BOS (branch operations supervisor) Met my 2nd husband, Roy Watrous at one of them. Got married in Las Vegas at a drive up church in an orange dress. I've lived happlily ever after wih Roy.....just moved to Guilford, on the green, a year and a half ago. Roy's my everything.......Expand for more
too bad I couldn't have met him first. I don't work anymore...thank you Roy...and we love to travel to SC a couple times a year....Roy for golf and me for the beach. Leaving Friday for Disney with 2 of my 4 grandchildren. Another place we love. That's the kid in both of us showing. I am now divorced from him since a couple years ago. I moved to Cheshire Village in a small apartment that I love. I am completly different than in high school where I was a sullen, but normal teenager. I've become best friends with my mom who is now 94...and back then I didn't even want to be in the same room with her! Oh, if we only knew now back then how we would've taken advantage of so much more...... I have to say I loved high school even though I took the simplest courses and never did a bit of work other than to graduate, both marriages and my life as a whole. I don't regret a thing that happened to me good or bad and consder myself very lucky to have met all the people I have in my life good or bad. Each one taught me something. I hope people remember me kindly....

I missed a great man's birthday. I hope you had a great day.
I love you, too, Kathy. I love the definition of saudade. It reminds me of my Father, Mother and Step-father. I hope in my lifetime I add no more hearts.

Sometimes....and it drives e crazy
I wish I knew who the lazy bastard was that dumped their Christmas tree on a public beach. Wonder what their house looks like?💩
I normally sit on the right of the bench right down at waters edge. I miss it!😒
The jetty. Life guards would blow their whistle and over the bull horn say"Please get off the rocks"

Will they get it right this time? "Some towns will get snow and some will not". Well, that covers everything!
Bristol, "Who me?"
Mother Nature may surprise us with a little more winter weather but here is a reminder of spring.
Treats in there...mmmmmmm!
You'd think Bristol lived here forever
My forever teenager, Davey Crockett, died this morning. Born in 2006 he was not with us long enough. He'll find his best friend Malley and they can play again. Bless you and your ability to make me laugh almost every day. 🎈
Miles is looking for his bowl of food! With a little food in it! Mama, will you give me some food? Please! I'm so hungry.

Mom, if I give you food you will eat 3 pieces and walk away.

This way of feeding did not last lon
Well, well, Miles and Crockett have been under the tree since I put the ornaments on it. Like I put a decorated tree up for them! Anyway, I'm glad they're enjoying it and wish I knew what was going on in their heads.
Crockett's birthday!
