well, where do i start..lol in 19 74 we moved from oak cliff to pleasant grove. that was a strange transition for me bein 13 n not wantin to leave my friends n teachers i had grown to love at L. O. Donald. we found a wonderful neighborhood n gr8 elderly neighbors so eventually it got to be home n i loved it here. i tried my best to stay in touch with my friends from oak cliff tho. i met gr8 teachers n awesome friends at Nathaniel Hawthorne elementary n then on to John B. Hood Jr. High. that yr in hood was gr8 but on the wild side times were changin there were riots n lockdwns a few times that was bout as scarry as it gets to a shy quiet grl like me. i then moved on to the wonderful W.W. Samuall High School. wow finally in high school n on my way. it was awesome the greatest friends the mostwonderful teachers. i loved it by my senior year i was determined to get enough credits to graduate early in jan. and i did it too. the principal let me come bk durin lunch some days to visit with friends n to the activities so i could still be involved. it came time for prom n i was gettin excited but my grandmother passed away in nov 80 n i just couldntgo she was gonna make my dress n it just didnt seem the same anymore. i lived the prom tho through my friends who told me all about it. graduation day came n my granpa came n mom n dad were there too n i know granma was there i felt her. well i didn...Expand for more
