Margie's Story
After attending BGSU I got married and moved to Alabama for a short time, then Georgia for a short time, then North Carolina for a while, had a lovely daughter, moved back to Akron, had a son, got divorced, got remarried, had two more sons, so by 1982 I had a wonderful family of four.
My husband Julian and I have lived in West Akron now for 30 years, daughter graduated from St. Vincent St Mary, and then Akron University, is married and has two beautiful children, my oldest son graduated from Walsh High School and then Walsh University in North Canton, he is now married and the father of two and lives four doors from us, which is a treat. Our two younger son's now live in Los Angeles, the youngest is a Walsh High grad and a graduate of Indiana Purdue and was a Division I volleyball player there and is now a Senior Business Analyst...Expand for more
for Sony Pictures. And, middle son, also Walsh HS grad and Graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles just released his first film, More Than A Game, in theatres now which has kept us busy all summer and fall attending premiers which has been a thrill of a lifetime for us.
I've spent most of my child rearing life working from home, first as a literary agent, then as a decorator, then party planner which spanned a period of 20 years. Though the last 10 were spent working as a coordinator for USA Volleyball as a Program Director, and Camp coordinator .
It's been a thrill working with kids and getting them college scholarships. We are now semi-retired, always looking for new things to do and mostly just want to spend time with our kids and grandkids as for us, they are our most precious blessings in life.
