Hi everyone. I miss LPHS and the "good-old-days!" After HS I had my 18th birthday in August and then four days later on Aug. 21, 1974 I was enlisted in the Army. I did basic training at Ft. McClellon, Alabama and did my AIT (military trainging) at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. My final destination was Zweibrucken, Germany where I met my husband, because we were stationed on the same base. I was 18 and he was 26 and divorced with one son. He's from Charlotte, NC and of course you know where I'm from. Wouldn't you know it...he is a Laker's fan and a Raiders fan! We left Germany to come stateside to make our residency here. I went from active duty to active Army Reserves and let the military life in 1984 as an E-5 (Sgt). I used my GI bill to go to college and further my education in Commercial Art and I minored in drafting. I landed a job with TESINC (Tele-Engineering Services, Inc) and did electrical drafting which only lasted 3 months because the business left Charlotte to go back to Arizona. I then got a job with (then called) Law Engineering and at the present is called MACTEC Enginneering. I gave 28 years to this company and was let go in 2008 after 28 years of service due to the economy. I have not worked since (for money) but I do work for love watching my two grand chil...Expand for more
