I graduated from Wofford College May 1992 with a degree in Biology and the Biology Dept. Senior Award. I then went off to Vanderbilt University to get my Ph.D. in Biology. I didn't really like Nashville or Vandy too much so I only attended graduate school there 1 year. That following summer and subsequent three summers I spent doing field biology in Baja California Mexico with a group lead by a professor from Vandy. The following academic year I worked at Wofford College teaching some biology labs. In the Fall of 1994 I moved to Tucson, AZ to attend The University of Arizona to get a Ph.D. in Entomology (insects - in my case studying beetles in Baja). I spent 2 years in the program and decided what the H*** and I going to do with a Ph.D. in Entomology.
