Life
Hey, MHS Class of 1980. It's nice to see so many of you have registered with this site. The internet makes it much easier to keep in touch with old friends from school. Anyway, for those of you who are still trying to figure out who I am, I want by the name of Mari Lou Beavers in high school (I know, the second I got married, I changed my name to simply "Mari L.") My high school sweetheart and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in October. We have three kids - 2 boys & a girl, ages 19, 16 & 6. My oldest son is a sophomore in college, studying for his MBA with a concentration in MIS. My daughter is a junior in high school and quite the opposite of me when I was at MHS -- she's tall, blonde, a cheerleader, outgoing and very talkative (honest, she's my daughter!) My youngest is in 1st grade and keeps me & my husband on our toes 24/7. We have three dogs (a/k/a the "furry" members of our family), and moved to the East Coast (a/k/a "le...Expand for more
ft coast") in 1989. While I hated living on the east coast for the first 7 years or so, I've grown to love it here and doubt I would move back to CA if I had the chance. In November of 2006, I (finally!) received my Bachelor's Degree in Business Mgmt and am still trying to put that piece of paper to good use. I'm currently the Contracts Administrator for a pharmaceutical company and, while the job can get extremely hectic, I thrive on "going 90mph with my hair on fire," so I'm content. Prior to my current job, I was the paralegal for a large chemical company. While that job was interesting, a change in upper management made me start looking for a new challenge. My husband (MHS Class of 1978) is the Director of Accounting for a global company which, like my job, is very hectic but rewarding.
