Mari's Story
September 2008:
I'm still a horticulturist, however I have left Missouri Botanical Gardens to go out on my own for designs, installations and maintenance for estates, property managers and a few side jobs with real estate agents. I am lucky that I have finally found my niche and I get paid for it!
Amazing, I'm still living in STL as I thought I would be out of here as soon as I graduated college. I help take care of my 97 year old grandma along with my folks and with family life. So for the time being, I'm settled here.
So for living in STL, I do like to travel. I just got back from my 12th visit to Alaska. I highly recommend visi...Expand for more
ting at least once in a life time if you are a nature lover. So many places to see, so limited time!
Other than that, I keep busy with the family and friends going to wineries, concerts, Cardinal games, biking, backpacking, canoeing and road trips. Oh yeah, going back for a Masters in Plant Science. No, I don't sleep these days!
A friend from class of 88 was talking about his upcoming reunion and it got me to thinking that I haven't really kept in touch with old friends as much as I said I would. Guess we all say that and then next thing we know, we are living life and forget to email or call that old friend. Anyways, here I am. :)
