Maria's Story
Well, how to begin. I was a mixed up misfit from a dysfunctional family. I was smart but never applied myself in school. I knew everything in high school so why go on to learn more. I got married while I still knew everything (19) - unfortunately I don't know as much now or at least don't think I know everything, like I used to!
I worked from the age of 14, I started working in the office environment when I was 17. I was in the workplace in the eighties when desktop computers started being introduced into the workplace. Technology has always been a draw for me. I developed my skills in the workplace, long before you needed an MBA to deliver mail -lol.

ol at night for a while and I loved it. Learning is such an ego booster. I finally realized I had a good head on my shoulders.
I made a decent living, adopted a child and grew apart from the man I married such a long time ago. I am now divorced and happier than I had been for so many years. I am enjoying my life and although it is much harder than it used to be, life is good.
Friends are and have always been special. My kid is a joy and a pain, just as I was when I was a teen!
It's strange to be starting my life again when I'm almost fifty. Remember when you thought 50 was old? I remember thinking 30 was old!
Life moves on and hopefully the best years are yet to come.
