Maria's Story
My Life So Far
I moved to northern California in 1980 with my parents and have lived here in the bay area for 29 years. When I first moved out here, I pursued a singing career in the music industry. I met my husband, a drummer and concert sound engineer, and we were married on June 21, 1987. We have three children: a boy, 19; girl, 17; and boy, 13.
My husband and I are real estate investors part time. I also work in my own home based business as a Pre-paid Legal Independent associate, and I'm a writer. I am in the process of completing my first novel.
My singing these days is limited to Sundays with the worship team at church. It's a family production - my husband runs the sound, and I sing.
My husband still runs the sound for a band called Just Truckin' who plays all around the greater bay area.

has been hereditary - our 19 year old son is a drummer/singer in his own "hard core" band, called Laugh It Up. They are currently building a following in the bay area, and play in San Francisco occasionally. He is also attending the local community college.
Our daughter is a junior in high school, and our son is a 7th grader at a charter school.
I'm fortunate to live in the most aesthetically beautiful areas of the USA. A short excursion north and I'm in San Francisco; a short excusion south and I'm in Monterey and beautiful Carmel. I like to post pictures of my surroundings occasionally, and make the rest of you jealous. Well, can you blame me? Out here in California we don't have good schools, housing prices are (usually) through the roof, but we have the weather and our great surroundings (as long as you don't live in L.A., haha).
