Maria's Story
Can't believe 40 years have come & gone. I have moved from NY & am living in MA since 1985. My husband Nunzio AKA Chris married in 1970 & will celebrate our 40th in August. We have 2 daughters, ages 30, Denise & 27, Jennifer & one grandson Mason, 3 yrs old. Denise lives with her husband, Bret Smith & her son Mason in CO. Jennifer lives in Hoboken NJ. She is in broadcasting in the NY & NJ area.
After graduation from St Albert I studied pre school education At State University , Farmingdale. Upon graduating I was a Kindergarten Teacher at St Pancras in Glendale. I loved it there with the Dominican Sisters again. The children were wonderful it was a great experience. We had difficulty starting a family a very tough time for us suffering 4 miscarriages. brought us to a small town in MA Norfolk. A town of 4500 at the time, semi rural a great place to raise our girls. At the time teaching was hard to get back into and I began a second career, in Travel. I currently am an Independent Travel Consultant working from both home and an office in a neighboring town. I have been doing this for more than 27 years. I have worked with some of my clients through 3 generations, having planned their trips as newly married couples, than with their children and now with their grandchildren. It is my passion. I love people & it is a joy planning their vacations. So at 61 I find it hard to retire.
It would be great connecting with the Faculty & my former sisters from ST Albert.I am looking forward to the reunion. St. Albert holds many fond memories, where we did have the best time of our lives.
