Maria's Story
After I graduated, I started working for a general contractor in CC. You never think that when you start a job you will be there like forever, well I was. I worked for Mr Young as secretary for 32 years. I never thought that at the age of 50 I would then be going into another industry completely opposite of what I had been doing. My boyfriend, now husband, introduced me to the world of interstate driving. I traveled all 48 states and loved it. I had always wanted to travel my entire life, I just never thought it would be by driving an 18-wheeler!! The traveling was free, although I was working, it always felt like I was on vacation! e city's regional transportation authority but that didn't turn out good, bad hours, bad equipment, undoable schedules and all of that caused alot of stress which I did not need so I am no longer doing that and just staying home and being a homemaker which is really all I ever wanted in life, you know, graduate, get married, have children and live happily ever after but my life didn't go that route but I finally ended up at happily ever after... I got married back in 1984 and unfortunately that did not last but did give marriage another chance and married in 2003. I never had children, by CHOICE, but have always had 4-legged kids, they are my love and thank God my husband loves them as much as I do! So anyway, that so far has been my life, but of course not every single detail, but enough so that you all know a bit of it.
