Marian Farris:  

After graduating high school, I went to college fulltime for almost 2 years and worked for banks as a teller. Started working with the deaf at age 21, took some classes in sign language and worked in schools in CT, FL and then VA Beach as an educational interpreter for Hearing Impaired students in the Public School System for 6 years. Retired in 1991 and got married to a man out in N. Calfornia who worked for the CA State Park system. Been married for almost 17 years now and live in Grass Valley CA since 1998. Have had two labs, yellow boy named Gabe for 13 years and now a Chocolate Female named Nesta (age 3) named after the late great Reggae star Robert Nesta Marley. Am currently on treatments for advanced Chronic Lyme disease and have a volunteer own business of teaching hearing babies and their caregivers basic sign language. Have also sang in many choirs and voice/acapella choirs and broadway musical classes. Music has always been and will always be my passion. Can also play guitar and have since age 12. Have played and sang at weddings in the past. I always wanted to be a singer/musician when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
