Life After I left high school, like most kids, I went to work, in fact went downtown Chicago, worked at CNA insurance till I remembered I wanted to join the Army. Left for active duty Aug 13th 1973. The date is still fresh cause I was supposed to be the maid of honor for my sisters wedding on the 18th. Had to miss it. Enjoyed 6 years in the Service of our country, spent 3 of those years in Korea. It was hard being away so long, occasional phone call here and there. Came back in 1976, stationed at Ft Hood Tx, till Dec 1980. Ended up in New Orleans, got a job at Travelers Ins company, and worked weekends at a BBQ rest, Luthers, great food. Married a guy from NO, had 4 kids, from 1982-1989. Moved back up north, back to good old Hazel Crest, Nov 1990. Still in Hazel crest, ended a 20 yr run with Travelers/United Healtcare. Been doing other ins type jobs since it ended in 2002. Had 2 boys, than 2 girls. Oldest son,23 going in the Navy Nov '06, youngest son,21, already joined in Jan 06, and stationed in Pensacola Fl.
