Marianne's Story
Hi everyone,
When I graduated from Long Island City HS in 1974, I worked in NYC for a couple of years then in 1976 married Ronald Marozzi who graduated from Long Island City HS in 1970. We moved upstate NY to Orange County, closer to his job and bought our first home in l977. We were married for ten years until his death in 1986. He was in a canoeing accident. 1987 and have been in the same house ever since. I have 2 sons from this marriage.
I had my own retail business from 1981-1992,closed it and then in 1992 worked for a major retail company where I managed and trained new managers for 15 years until I retired in 2006 due to complications of Breast cancer. I am cancer free now, although I still have medical problems as a result of the cancer. But heck, I survived cancer and everyday is a new beginning for me.
