Marianne's Story

I grew up in Boonton township. Took the bus to Rockaway Valley Grade school. Graduated 8th grade there and went on to Boonton High School, graduated in 1967, then went to nursing school and got my nursing license. Was in a very bad car accident and nearly died in 1971. Was in a coma for a couple of months with serious injuries. It took a year of daily rehab to regain my strength, but did well. In 72 I moved to California with a good friend and loved it there. Met my husband and was married in 74. I couldn't have children due to the car accident I had been in, kind of messed me up. But we adopted a little gir...Expand for more
l who was born in 1976. My daughter Jamie who is now 32 and has 3 boys of her own. My husband died at 36 from a tractor roll over accident on our property. We had 80 which I eventually sold and moved close to my Dad in Florida. Lived there 5 years and hated the flat land and hurricanes. My best friend asked me to come and visit her in Arkansas and fell in love with it and here to stay. I've been a nurse for 39 years and have jut cut back to part time, getting ready to retire. Love my life and wouldn't trade it for anything!!!!!!!I'm big into fishing and love the many cold clean lakes. Even have my own boat.:)
