Marianne's Story
Hello! I am a faculty member in Counseling at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix. Besides doing personal and career counseling, I also teach the Honors Forum, Career Exploration, and College Success. In the last few years I've become enamored with the new field of positive psychology so I created a new class called "The Science of Happiness". We have two grown kids, both married and 1 grandson. Our daughter recently finished a PhD in Biochemistry and works for ASU as the Director of Lifelong Learning Initiatives. Our son graduated from ASU in elementary education and is a full time Chess Coach. I just finished a doctorate in Higher Education and Adult Learning and currently do workshops for educators in the area of mindset and success. We just bought a cabin near Flagstaff and enjoy spending as much time as we can in the great outdoors!
