Marichu's Story
Life
After graduation, I went to college and finally graduated in 1992 from Cal State San Bernardino with a B.A. in Liberal Studies. I studied to be a teacher but, decided to follow my dreams and pursue a career in law enforcement. I worked for the SD Sheriff's in 1994 for approximately 2 years as a correctional officer and then transferred to the Harbor Police Dept. in 1996.
I reside in Sabre Springs located near Poway and have 2 boys (ages 9 and 7 y...Expand for more
rs.old). My husband is a firefighter/paramedic for the San Diego Fire Dept. and currently works on the Haz-Mat Team.
Although I loved being an officer, I was medically retired due to a back injury . I definitely miss the comraderie and the action. Despite being injured, I get the opportunity to stay at home with my children and be a "domestic engineer"...definitely the hardest and most rewarding job I ever had.
