Marie's Story
When I graduated from GFHS, I had many goals. One was to become a great writer. To date, I've written several fun short stories and one children's novel. One day I hope to finish editing it and get it published. Is it great? My children and grandchildren think so, but we'll see when it's all finished! I've realized God also had a plan for me and I like His better. After wonderful years being a wife and Mom, I've become Grandma to 29 beautiful grandchildren. It's been a marvelous and joyful journey as I've grown close to each one of them, giggled through their teens, cried w/them at sad times, and loved them through it all. I've tried to bless them w/hugs, emails, calls, visits, gifts. What memorable experiences we've enjoyed! Some of my gifts were: Crocheted Baby Shawls, Baby Quilts, 12 Days of Christmas, Quillos, F...Expand for more
leece blankets, tied flannel Graduation Quilts, and handpieced, hand quilted Wedding Quilts. Now, w/great-grandchildren coming, I will hug and adore them as I continue to make and give the listed gifts to my grandchildren. I will be in my 90's when the youngest ones are married. Then I think I will rest and just love them all. Fifty-plus years of marriage have too many events and memories to list but I've loved the journey with my best friend and soulmate. My 97-year-old mom lives with us, which has been enjoyable and becomes more challenging the past few months. Then I will rest! What a joy to have lived this life!!!
Marie's schools include Great Falls High School. She later attended University of Wyoming (Bachelors in Elementary Education), University of Wyoming (Masters in Lifelong Learning, Adult and Famiy Literacy).
